Sloane and the Cosmic Schlep

It’s been a very fun and invigorating journey, creating this world and bringing these characters to life. One part inspiration, ninety-nine parts perspiration…but all the while I’m loving it! Schleppin’ away indeed. Where did this all start, you ask? During the pandemic lockdown I created an animated 3d short cartoon that very much reinvigorated my love of creating movies, and this is the continuation of that. I’ve been into creating and animating in 3d since I can remember. I also wanted to get into mocap and facial animation and have a playground to explore other movement and rendering techniques. “Sloane and the Cosmic Schlep” started with a script adapted from a book. It had all the elements I love: spaceships and aliens, being whisked off to foreign lands/worlds…and humor. And so it began. Six scripts have been written, three episodes have been made (to varying degrees of production), but all succeed at telling a good story and furthering the development of the characters and their world.
